In the first quarter of 2024, the top Navigation and Maps applications on iOS in Algeria showcased varying trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps experienced a steady performance in weekly downloads, starting with around 4.5K in early January and maintaining similar levels throughout the quarter, peaking at 4.9K in mid-February. Active users began at approximately 191K, saw a dip in mid-March to 158K, but recovered slightly to around 172K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth had a more modest download rate, starting at 779 in the first week of January and fluctuating between 500 and 1K, ultimately ending the quarter at 764. The active user base showed a gradual increase from around 4.3K to 4.5K, demonstrating consistent engagement.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a varied download trend, beginning at 608, peaking at 919 in mid-February, and then decreasing to 340 by the end of March. Active users followed a downward trend, starting at approximately 31K and declining to around 25K by the end of the quarter.

Qibla Compass (Kaaba Locator) downloads fluctuated, starting at 229 in early January, peaking at 482 in mid-March, and ending at 175. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 166, peaking at 289, and concluding the quarter at 153.

Lastly, SeTracker2 maintained a consistent download rate, starting at 232 and ending at 148, with minor fluctuations in between. Active users showed stability, starting at about 1.2K and remaining around the same level throughout the quarter, ending at 1.1K.
